(penalty shootouts...)
To me this seems a very dismal way to win or lose - a much "softer" ending thasn most other games trying to avoid a tie.
What about a boxing match between the managers instead of a penalty shoot-out?
When Greece beat France the other night, there was a massive flurry of text messages and phone calls between myself and my friends - everybody was overjoyed at the news!
My prediction:
CZE v POR in the final
I can't see the Greeks beating the Czechs - they're just too strong and home nations always do pretty well!
OK - I'm going to stick my neck on the block now and predict: Portugal as champions!

Personally I think it will be Portugal - Czech in the final, and the Czech will win 3 - 0. I think this is the beginning of the Czech Era, hehe.

Spirit: yes, this problem is discussed here many times, but no solution. We had a rule, the "golden goal", like "sudden death" in ice hockey. For this tournament, they try "silver goal": if one team leads after the first 15 min of the additional time, they have won. But this also will disappear. It's a problem. And the penalty shootout is preferred as a solution, since the old traditional solution was to throw a coin. (Like in the beginning of each game, when the winning captain decides what side his team wants to start and the others play the first ball)

Here they renamed Rehagel into Rehacles. Is a Rehacles enough to beat the "teacher of the chief"? I agree with Nisse. And I think that there is too much pressure for the portugese players, so I think there will be another CZE - HOL with the same result.

I hope the greeks will win the cup because many greek restaurants are around here. The following parties will be amazing as the food. I don´t like fish really and I never ate Czech food.

EDIT:
Have I forgot something?
Ah, yes Frikandeln are ok but.....

Nerves creeping in. Only few hours to wait.
Beer is in the fridge, windows and doors are environmentally sealed.
Good luck teams....
