It's heavily inspired by Jean Michel Jarre's ealry records but sounds pretty original.
It's completely made with Cubase and VSTi's etc.

Hope you like it

The track has absolutly the JMJ atmosphere. I specially like all the FX sounds you are using....typical JMJ. In my opinion the drums are a bit upfront, they sound very dry...perhaps it is nice to use a little reverb or something on those sounds.

And totally produced with SX and VST....great job!

Yeah you nailed it! Modulation rate change stuff is great.

...the recording quality blows away JMJ's.

Very awesone bass sound.

I would agree that the drums are either a bit loud or a bit too bright. They need to sound like they were recorded to tape and played back a thousand times, until there was no oxide left. IMHO.

Nice work!

The modulation-change sweep is a nice sound but really a JMC signature especially given the feel of the rest of the track.

Also I think the mid-range sequence sound is a bit ordinary - just a standard short saw ? And the sound sort of jumps out at me whereas the rest is quite smooth & inegrated. When the drums come they seem to join this sequence and be separate from the rest of the sweepy mood...

I much prefer the first minute.

Over all, I like it. It is very nice to relax listening to this thru head phones. There is something about the 2,08 transitions, which could be a little bit better. I don't know. Maybe give the midrange melody a rest for a while? I don't know. The same transition at around 4.20 is deffinitely better. The fade out at the end needs much more attention. It is a little bit to quick, and it cuts a bit violently in the end - considdering the over all very soothing athmosphere of the tune. The JMJ mood is definitely there.

When you read these critics, please keep in mind, that I really like this track. It is just, that it could really bennefit from just a bit more work. The fade-out problem is deffinitely the biggest one. A better fade out will make the listener capable of holding on to the song for a bit longer - even after it has stopped it will live for a little while inside the listener, untill the listener himself lets go of it. The current unfortunate fade out takes this moment of "living inside after -96dB" away from the listener, because the music is kind of "taken away from me". Others minds may vary.

Thank you all for your critics.

I completely agree with all of you, i also like this track very, but it is not completely finished.

That comes partly because i mastered this track too quickly and easy as i mostly do and partly because this track is a bit too short.
I still see possibilities to extend this track in time by adding more elements into it.
One day i will pick up this track again and when it is finished, i shall repost it.

Thank you all.
