After boot up, Scope 4.0 always asks for the key file.
This never happened with 3.1c
Any suggestions ?

That's someting I want to know as well, because it happens let's say 1 out of 10 times when I boot up my computer. At such moment the allkeys.skf key is asked. When I enter the key file, then the booting will continue just like normal, and I still have SFP 3.1c.
It's not a serious problem, but very annoying..

so, anyone knows what's going on?

what device does it look for?

do you have more than 1 version of the software installed?

are you using old devices or old projects?

I haven't installed an earlier version than 3.1c
I'm not using old devices or projects either, they all suppose to work in the het 3.1c version.
But I'm going to update to SFP 4.0 anyway, and hope that the problem will be gone...
@ dj_yaron:
I hope that you can work out the problem as well with your current 4.0 version...
peace

well, i never had this problem with 3.1c, and i installed 4.0 on a fresh systm, so i don't think there's any software conflict here...
I'll try changing my default project, maybe it'll help.

thanks anyway !

i have this exact same problem too - every 5 boots i get a dialog box prompting for the key file or software serial number. does anyone know how to fix this issue. i have a fresh install of everything - windows XP and Scope v4.0 - no extra devices (3rd party etc) installed accept the standard one's that come with Scope v4.

I started getting this sporadically, too, when I migrated from SFP 3.1c/Win ME to SFP 4/Win XP.

Yep,

Same here, every like 6-10th boot I get the allkeys pop-up, now I just keep a copy of the file on my desktop since its become so common and I dont like having to navigate to find it.

I too never had this with 3.1c seems to be a 4.0 issue, keep in mind in past history if you follow the update track of CW, we may never see a update past 4.0 till a new release is ready if ever  The only reason I say this is because I have never seen CW ever issue a patch in my entire time using this product lol, this is fort any devices, synths, software what ever applies CW hehe.

Cheers!

Actually (just nitpicking here ^_^), they released a patch for using ADAT ports as SPDIF once.
