Hi all,

Recently I had entered a contest to remix a Richard Humpty Vission track called " Never let me down ", incase you are not familliar with who he is, basically a very well known and respected producer, dj and remix artist, he started as a group called the movement many years back and then went on to DJing MTV's the blame game for two seasons, doing remixes for artists such as, Madonna, Destiny's Child, Nelly Furtado, Filter and Felix da Housecat. Not to mention landing over thirty Top 10 hits on Billboard's Dance Music Chart (19 of them hitting the number one slot) and earning him a Grammy Remixer of The Year nomination.

So any way, after all the craziness and entries, it turns out I won the grand prize and my mix was chosen as the winner, what this entitled me to was various Sony software, live interviews on a california station that does a mix show in the evenings called Powertools and a live DJ set.

But more seems to be happening, I recieved an email from my contact with Sony (SPD), who explained they were printing a new Sony music software catalogue and wanted to showcase a few ACIDplanet artists, namely me being one of them.

In the documentation is explains they want me to endorse or explain what I like about using sony products and interview about how I produce, here is where it gets intersting, it also states I can promote ways I make my music aside from sony products ala saying I use a Scope system etc, of course tied into sony applications, but none the less I can say Creamwares name and plug them if I choose.

Whats interesting is that this catalogue will be printed (1) million copies for distrobution, not too shaby hehe.

I wonder what that could do for creamware or if they even want they're name used in a sony interview, I mean after all I did use SFP to produce the track that won hehe.

Interesting times ahead I guess

great job - congrats

regarding CWA, they've always pointed out the co-op charcter of their system together with native software - so this is a great opportunity to verify that statement

cheers, Tom

Well done. Congratulations!
And agreed with Tom, routing and getting different apps talking to each other is one of the most underated aspects of SFP.

sounds like a big story you've gotten into! Make sure you get some contacts and build your next big gig on this one.
Congrats! It's a great way to recover from a hurricane.

Congratulations. That looks like a pretty good achievement. Plug CWA, if you can get away with it without Sony unplugging you

Morning all,

Thanks for the replies, who knows how its going to work, but I figure using terms like Scope and the like should slip under the radar, I will prob use the actual name Creamware but they asked for a few replies per question, I gues sthey take what I send and then turn it into an interview with the parts they like.

Cheers!
