Okay, I'am just two years late ...

But it's a real late shock and for those who are in ignorance like I was, just download some mp3 at Dave Smith's site ...

This thing is on par with the razor sharp and punchy sounds of Flexor but different.

This thing has real potential for wild sonic explorations ...

Any other hardware that can defy this beast ?

Really tempted by the big brother : PolyEvolver ... if budget allows

google...the great equalizer. (not an audio reference).

I'm so glad that they picked such a bizarre name..

they made it possible to say the phrase:

"google it"

What a great age we live in!

before you run out and get the very UI-impaired Poly-Evolver, I would recommend you check out the Red Dwarf, by John Bowen... seriously, you can do insane delay feedback lines and almost limitless sound-sculpting with this thing -- and its GUI is very inviting, inspiring experimentation. Think Prophet 5 oscillators and Wavetable oscillators cross-modulating eachother while being further modulated by a feedback line which is fed by the effects inserts chain... this thing is a monster.

i am using it on almost every track that I make now.

(who is surprised how little the RD gets mentioned here)

I have a non-poly Evolver, and the UI is so hard to use that I've NEVER used it. I've been spoiled by soft synths (especially John's!).

Well, Evolver and PolyEvolver have an editor : http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/evolver/editor.html

I'am even testing it, without surely a nightmare for me and a decisive point not to buy.

My mind is now set I want this Poly ! unless in the coming months necessary to gather the money something happens to reconsider but I'am really too much in love of the Sound and those sounds.

I'll try the Red Dwarf though ( was unaware of the possible feedbacking and Xmod ).
