I bought Modular 3 the other day on the strength of the posts claiming it would run in XTC mode if you made a few alterations. It didn't work. I wrote to Creamware asking if they knew of more detailed instructions to make this work as the details I found were a little wooly (or maybe I'm a bit thick). This was there reply,
'We know for a fact that Modular and samplers don’t work in XTC mode. Now if you read on planet Z then I would simply suggest you post and let other users tell how they have it done or simply email you how to.
From our side we know that it does not work. Maybe some users know more than us.
If it is possible please tell us how and we will post that on our web site'
So, who's telling the truth. The gauntlet has been thrown. If it does work then Creamware would like to know and they will post it for all to see. Sounds like a good idea to me. If you know how to get Modular up and running in XTC mode let them know, and could you post detialed instructions (the idiots guide) via Planet z cos I now have a modular 3 system which I can barely run on my measly 3 dsp system.
