Does SX2 (or SL2) allow one to drag & drop MIDI files from e.g. an explorer window straight into the cubase arrangement window?

I hadn't tried this before with Cubase SL (v1.6) and was a bit gob smacked that the application deosn't support this! That is seriously slack programming from Steinberg - even 'Notepad' supports d&d of a text file!!

So...to try out a folder with e.g. 100 little MIDI files in it, each one has to be imported seperately, one-at-a-time...

Hi Royston

You can drag & drop midi files from explorer into SX, but if you do it with multiple files, SX often skips files, so check your results.

Hi Dave

Is that SX2, or was it supported in SX1 too?

I think this feature (which was in Cubase VST) was "re-introduced" in SX 2.

Ah - thx!

(Checks pockets)

SL2 will have to wait a little longer...
