did anyone build a project in which he uses the drum module of pulsar 1 (the drum synth, not any modular 2!) with effects and so on... in order to produce beautiful and fat sound for dance/techno/house or any other kind of music?
i want to use it, but i'm not able to produce any good sound. can someone post me a project or any other kind of help?

Subject: Try SDS or Mini Drumplayer
hi there
i would try to use one of the two free modules called "mini drum player" or SDS. essentialy they are wave players. sds has also some simple controls over the sample. you can trigger 'em via your sequencer, like the pulsar drum synth.
also, use good .wav samples always helps.
bye

You can use the EDS8i it is ok for bassdrum or snare,
but nicer sounds you can create with the EDS16i(which you
can try at the online shop) or with the SDS or the mini-drumplayer both for free downloadeble her at planetz
If you want to create better sounds with the EDS8i you can
use the controls and then compress and EQ them, this way
you can make very fat sounds with it.
If you still have problems, just send me an email, and i'll
try to help you out ,Good Luck!!

Subject: by the way ... sds is playing wrong rate? correct?
hi,
maybe you or someone else can report the same or answer this question, maybe i´m only using the sds in a wrong way, BUT:
the wav´s i was loading were played in a wrong rate... when i was loading a drumloop 120 bpm i running faster!
i´m using this one, but no more for drumloops, that makes me crazy ...
do you know why?
regards
t.

HI,
the SDS is not that good because the attack level has a strange mistake! You are not able to put the attack level to 0.000 msec, only to 3.750 msec! If you load some drumsamples the attack is always missing and the bassdrum sample sounds weak. Just take a TR909 drumsample from Rebirth and put it into the SDS...sounds not very good!!
The MiniDrumPlayer has the same mistake but you are able to correct it , because next to the knobs there is number (the SDS has no numbers)which shows the milliseconds! You can put them to 0.000msec by keyboard! BUT the MiniDrumPlayer has no volume knob...another disadvantage! I already contacted Volker Dietz, developer of both Synth, but he does not answer!!
On this page you can also dowload some wav player, but they are really out of timing during playback!!
At the moment there is no really good solution to play wav files with Pulsar!
Hopefully there will be one soon!!!
