Prodyssey, ProOne/Two and Solaris demos

Hi all
I have the Solaris demo, which was causing DSP overload msgs, fixed by reloading from bottom, with Solaris first in. Fantastic!
But...
Prodyssey - does anyone have a demo of it, or the CW demo MP3s, as they are not linked on the CW site anymore.
Or music where it is used a lot.
Has anyone seen a review of Prodyssey? I can't find one anywhere. (Ditto demos of ProOne / Two ?)

both Prodyssey and Pro One were reviewed in german Keyboards April issue, BUT keep in mind that CW isn't a big ad customer currently

The reviews weren't bad, but not exactly convincing - the Prodyssey's was even somewhat pointless as they didn't even mention severe differences to the original.
The infamous lack of duo-phonic mode has been discussed here with quite some passion

Both synths do sound great of course, but if you liked the Solaris, I'd rather vote for this one, in case you're not after reproducing exact presets of the original hardware.
Solaris is much more versatile and can be tweaked easily for 'strange' sounds a la Odyssey.
... not to forget that John is a perfect business partner in the best sense of the word

Yes, John has been very helpful - and fast replies - while I had problems with the dsp maxing out on the demo.
I'd still like to *hear* the Prodyssey though, why aren't the mp3s on the CW site, the links are still there. Another CW mystery.
I also have the Minimax (fantastic) and the Orbitone SynChrome, which is OK, if not that wide ranging in sound.

well, if you have the Mini you'll miss even less - there is that 'creamwarish' filter sound (I just can't help) which results in a rather similiar character.
Of course due to different patch architecture the results will complement each other well, but there is a common denominator

On the other hand I see your point - and I was lucky enough to pick one of the last non-terminating demos of Prodyssey

There's that timeout issue with the demoes and I assume they just work on that - hopefully in a sense to make it less restrictive, since there is a strong protection afterwords.

btw I have Solaris for some time now, but there are still areas I haven't touched at all - a monster of a synth that can even host Flexor modules

there are a lot of sounddemo's available on the creamware website. you can only access them by entering the further information page from the shop.

those mp3s only reflect vaguely what the emulation of an analog synth is about - possibly interesting for a complete novice, but not much use else.
One needs hands-on experience, specially if a Mini and a Solaris demo are present already

Yes I tried the links on the Shop page, this is where I went first, but the actual mp3 files aren't there (even when logged in). I get this message:

Etc in German...

I was curious as to whether it had a similar sound to other CW synths... mp3s aren't software demos but still have a use. I have a Yamaha VL1 and a Nord modular, and have had a lot of different synths over the years, and it is the tone that is recognisable, and to be checked out first, not the number of (virtual) knobs etc. Hence the use of mp3s...

if you want i can make some mp3 demo's of the prodessey. i have the minimax and the prodessey and to be honest i find myself grabbing the prodessey more often then the minimax in my projects.

Thanks, that is very generous. That would be very useful, perhaps they could be online somewhere as the CW site seems to have lost the actual files. Then others could also hear them.

Yes, please. I have a pro-12 and it is great. However I remember lusting after the original Osdessey as a teenager (yes I have always had strange sexual tastes!).

If it is anywhere near as good as my PRO-12 I want one. However it needs to be a different kettle of fish with it's own sound.

I find it bizzare that Creamware are not posting mp3's of it on their site. It seems everyone else has to do their advertising for them!

So if someone could give me access to what it sounds like, I may buy one!
