I don't use Luna so I can't give you specifics.. Maybe you should also list up your motherboard model and maybe someone can help you out.
Can you also describe in deeper detail about how and when you machine freezes? From what you speak of, it sounds like you're having trouble specificaly with MIDI?
Anyhow, this board is loaded with people with years of experience, so relax and just wait a bit.
Welcome aboard!

No problem whatsoever using Luna as midi and audio card. You have bought great hardware, I guess you just haven't done everything alright when installing. I can't really help you in any way, but it helps to know, that things work elsewhere, so there must be a way to do it. Try installing the newest drivers for your mainboard and read trough this forum.
Best luck!

I use one Pulsar II and two Scope SRBs. I have transferred the I/O extension of another Pulsar II card to one of the Scope SRBs. I also have a StudioLogic MIDI controller and an old Casio keyboard.
I found that I could get the SRB with the I/O to work with both the Casio and the StudioLogic. But the older I/O board on the Pulsar II will only work with the Casio keyboard.
I think, yet Creamware wasn't convinced, that I have a slight difference between the two cards. Not sure whether it is with the I/O parts or the Scope/Pulsar cards themselves.
With this all I will say is that some people seem to have problems with stuck notes and some people don't. I think that in these cases different people could have slightly different variations of the same card (luna). I am talking more of the programmable logic/firmware on the boards themselves! Or there maybe a compatability issue (MIDI) between the Creamware boards and the outboard MIDI stuff that it is being interfaced with, i.e. my case above could be either really with the Casio being old and the StudioLogic being more recent.
This is my experience but would need investigate further to confirm my suspicions but it is not unheard of.

well, the stuck notes problem seemed related to too much traffic going to the MIDI port. (like MIDI clock) So turning off MIDI clock on the keyboard side seems to solve the problem for most cases.
I'm not too sure what this "freezes with MIDI" problem is tho.. seems different from the stuck notes problem.

Try Andre D's advice (four messsages above). There's lots of posts on this forum about midi traffic on the Scope midi source causing XP machines to freeze. It seems to be related to "Active sensing" midi data sent by external midi keyboards. Happens mainly with motherboards using Intel 875 chipset.
There are a number of solutions, but the easiest is Andre's, posted above.

"and it freezes with looped sound" is a little ambiguous!
Instead of succumbing to your anger feelings, why don't you take your time and explain your setup in details: what sequencer did you use, what setting in it, what drivers did you use (DS, Wave, ASIO), what external hardware if any etc. Is the crash repeatable, what steps did you take so maybe we can recreate it etc.

look, if zimmer uses creamware and giga, anyone can.
there are some controllers which seem to cause freezes in scope, especially when added to cubase sx. personally, i have used mpcs, akai, yamaha dx7, roland u20, roland rd350, korg triton, several cheap yamaha personal keybaords(toys) and others, all without a single glitch. there have also been numerous modules by all manufacturers.
every freeze i HAVE seen(which were on a freinds machine), were caused by massive traffic due to a midiclock loop or heavy sysex. probably the cwa buffer is not as huge as it could be, but it is certainly useable for most situations. probably, there is a setting that could be changed on your controller and i know you don't want to hear this, but if you need to use that controller, you might try a cheap usb device(midex3 if useing cubase) or a serial device. less than $100 will probably help if you don't find the setting.
there are so many possibilities for why you have computer problems. i know nothing about how your machine is set up and i really know nothing about the hardware you are using. for all i know, you have a bad irq conflict or a messed up os. really, i'm just guessing about things so good luck!
