Hi,
I'm not a patch developer (though I consider posting some, but really few of them to public) but I think it could be good for us and CWA if you post your custom patches (which we can find in this forum) to sites like PatchArena. This could stimulate people to have much interests in knowing what is Scope Platform and perhaps buying stuff from CWA? I found only one patchbank related to Pulsar in patcharena.com (for the Solaris synth). What do you think of it????

Not so sure myself. You go to Patch Arena to download patches for synths you already own surely? i doubt anyone will go "Hmmm... wonder what Solaris is?" Maybe i'm wrong but without sound examples of the patches why would anyone show any interest in anything but what they already own and how could they without being able to demo CW stuff without owning a card in the first place?

true Arkadin, but there's one conciderstion:
if patches for CWA related stuff are all over the place, you make the CWA platform more visible.
Like ads on television: you trust it more if you know it just drom television, without even ever have seen it in reality
But I guess it's a hard job before getting any reasonable effect.

Heehee. Well i work in the telly industry so i tend to trust things less the more i see them on televisionLike ads on television: you trust it more if you know it just drom television, without even ever have seen it in reality

Mr A
PS. i'm not trashing the patch areana idea - any exposure is good exposure, i just don't think it'll generate many (if any) inquiries without some sort of audio examples or user comments section.

I think its a great idea to have more exposure for creamware patches, but i hope it does not end up that the patches are all over the place. people should try and release new ones here, or at least put a link in the patches forum.
As for TV. when something is advertised more on television it means that the profits are huge enough that they can afford to advertise a lot!
this means less money is spent on a good product.
that is why you see so many ads for
cars: well they are so expensive anyways.
shampoo and beauty products: about 2 cents worth of the latest cheap byproducts mixed together and renamed to the latest "healthy hair/.skin etc" fad.
banks and insurance co. banks profit reach record high again! insurance dont bother paying half the time.
processed and packaged food. most of those things are awful! who knows what they put in there. you kow how people in the government occasionally get caught cheating, well there is 1000 times less public scrutiny on companies that make food and drinks!

Hello Planetz People
It's an interesting question you raise and is one I do have a view on. In my experience people do take the number of banks, patches etc. into consideration when they are purchasing a product so it can help sell a product.
Infact, I do know that a large number of downloads we receive are from people who don't yet own a product and just want to demo the available content for it. It's exactly the reason why Native Instruments allows anyone to browse their Reaktor library. They want you to see the large amount of content that's available for it. It's a big selling point. Anyway, thats my take on it
If you guys want us to host your creations then just send them to submissions@patcharena.com
By the way, every download can be rated and commented upon (they are ranked on rating, number of downloads, etc.). We also have a review section where you can review them too.
