CWA just posted the results of the Scope demos! But they only have synth demos...I thought they wanted effect demos too? OK....

It's up on their Web site.

The first 20 seconds of the "six strings & drums" demo is excellent. Makes me want to get Six Strings  .

Who is Jean-Phillipe Rykiel ? Is that the real name of a Z-person ?

I'm not entirely sure the demos cover the amazing possibilities of the devices well enough. Perhaps they could add links to other people's demos, just to get extra flavors, without doing the prizes? I've already added my own demos to my Web site.

Jean-Philippe Rykiel is an amazing man and he really runs a bit off-competition. He's a blind professional musician from Paris who played with many artists from Vangelis to Youssou N'Dour. He uses Noah for easier access to sounds.

To me it is almost unbelievable how he plays... listening to his tunes somehow is a truly exceptional experience.

I hope we can work with him on some story for our web site.

Congratulations to all winners.
Some of the pieces by Jean-Phillipe Rykiel are quite astonishing.
Why can't I play SixString or B2003 like that?

I think Rykiel should be offered an honorary Pulsarian Overlord Guru status

Wow,
i really like the songs of the other winners.

Jean-Phillipe Rykiel is incredible. his demos are very good.

The thunder patch of Ken is an incredibly good example of what people can achieve with the modular.

Richard Pree his demo with the prodyssey is very powerfull.

I dunno if Ken knows the Wendy Carlos record 'Sonic Seasonings'
http://www.wendycarlos.com/+sslms.html
it was mainly done on a big Moog system but is said to also contains stuff from tape.

Ken is stunningly close to the parts containing a thunderstorm and I assume (from his style of work) that he's done it completely independant.
If the record has been a source of inspiration then he scores a full 10 for achieving the same result with tons of equipment less

cheers, Tom

Loved that Jeff Beck/Jan Hammer thing he did.

Smiled at Ken's thunder too.

All good all good
