hi !

i have call in our store asking about creamware prices and we talked also about S-TDM cables and than that guy told me that for connection 2 Luna II you don't need s-tdm cable , but you can make that connection in software.
Does anybody knows how can i try to do that ?
I already have 2 Luna + Pulsar XTC connected with S-TDM cable, everything works fine, but anyway i want to know

thanks

if you want some hands-on experience you should first run one of the PCI bus tests with your current setup, for example how many Masterverbs you can activate.
This will give you a number to compare later.

Now shutdown, remove the S/TDM cable and restart SFP. All your DSPs should be present in the DSP load window.

If you repeat the PCI test you'll probably get a much lower value, as the system will automatically communicate via the PCI bus (afaik).

Maybe it would be a good idea to have not only Masterverbs loaded, but also some 'real' stuff to process, preferably something that doesn't fit on a single board and then add the MVs to increase PCI load.

cheers, Tom - never tried this myself
