Hello,
Maybe a banal question, but is it worth it now to install version 4 or should I stick with 3.1c for the time being?
Are there bugs to be ironed out? Is it just as or more stable than 3.1 c , which for me is stable. Should I wait a while? Is it an improvement? Does it give better performance? Etc..........
I have read that nothing much has changed, so is this true?
Regards

They've improved a few things here and there, like load-up times (although I haven't been able to confirm that), and as far as I know there aren't any new bugs; so you may as well upgrade!

Hola,
Ide say go for it! Not much has changed but there are a few nice performance tweaks. Modules load faster due to DSP tweaks, seems somethings like the mixers namely STM2448 has been optimized for a lighter DSP load, and well its 4.0, might aswell take the plung now. I does look pretty
Aside from that, I dont seem to have a video bug I had with windows layering each other would cause a portion of one window to become the graphics of what was behind it, I also notice a diffence the way patch menues are handled, it seems for me atleast, they now create a tab on the taskbar which is nice.
I like the way they squared off the module edges, gives a cleaner look and a tad more spacious feeling.
Also I didnt notice till v4, but it seems all older devices are now XTC compatible, even ez-synth
is this new or old? I dont use XTC mode so who knows.
Im sure there is more minor stuff, but its working well over here
Cheers!

My personal take on this is that I wont do anything untill CW gets every aspect of their site and the entire registration process up and running smoothly. Then I might consider it.
But I probably wont do it even then since 3.1c works like a charm for me. Why go through all the hassle if it doesnt bring anything new? If it aint broke, dont fix it
I think I will upgrade when I absolutely have to. If yet another upgrade comes up with new features, or when I decide to buy a new synth, and wish to use my 50% credit.

An eye for an eye, and soon the whole world is blind.
