Bad day
hi megerov, sorry but you don't write the truth here.
Like written at our homepage ( http://www.cwaudio.de ):
For existing users with version 3.1c there is no big change with version 4.0; beside the facelift on the new look. There are several bug fixes and optimums but no new functions. With this update no new devices will be installed, however, the free update is worthwhile – as up to now the platform has never been as perfect and as stable as before.
Please notice, that we do not have so many developers like the old company and the development of complete new devices needs more time.
why you do not look forward and observe, what the future will offer . . .
cheers
Ralf

We were all afraid at one time they were going to go OUT OF BUSINESS which would have been a horrible tragedy. They *have* fixed a few things with SP 4.0 so I'm quite satisified: after all, the old 3.1c software was very stable already. The new Web site is much improved, and I'm glad they're releasing the SDK; so IMO things are really looking up!!

Only thing I'm disapointed in is the dreaded PCI bus overflow errors using 2 reverbs and 6 stereo channels on a dual CPU machine. I can rip rip data off 2 10000 RPM hard disks over the PCI bus with no issues, but 2 reverbs kills it.
That kind of makes the dual CPU limited bandwidth excuse sound a little thin to me.Especially when I have had extensive talks with both the MOBO and chipset makers tech support ( AMD and Tyan) who both claim that PCI bandwidth is virtually the same as singles with the newer arcitecture chipsets.
Overall happy with 4.0 though. Just wish they would fix that issue in a future release.
As all, I am just really pleased CW came out of the darkness and as an product user/owner I wish them continued success.

Yeah, I have adjusted the setting in the bios to the next setting past 64 clocks and every other latency setting. Kind of strange, I can start a new project and insert verbs and such out the wazoo, it is when I save the project, then reopen it. As soon as I press play on the sequencer, it blows up consistently.
Re the Via patch, does that actually work with an AMD 760MP chipset?

Thanks Thomas,
I read the notes and it only referenced Via chipsets.
As I said, I can start a new project , add a different reverb to 4 aux's and play the project no problem so the bandwidth is there. If I save that project , reopen it and press play, I get a PCI overflow error until I remove all but 1 reverb.
Also if I open the 4 verb project and then open my sequencer, it gives me a PCI error message while the sequencer is being opened.
Something is wrong somewhere, just not sure where at this point. Thanks for the tip though.
