Wierd,

SP4 worked fine on my last system, though I previously had 3.1c on the system. This is clean install on a new PC and I get this error every time the STM 2448 opens, any ideas gang?

Cheers!

either the corresponding dsp file is hidden or it wasn't installed (e.g. the installer doesn't inform you, if the disk is full, it just stops installing and says, everything is fine).
Compare the 3.1c "dsp" and "script" directory with the one from scope4.0 to copy missing files over, if unhiding does not help.

forgot to mention: for Windows I use ViceVersa for comparing and synchronizing directories. It gives you a list of differing files via date and crc check. This way you can also easily transfer additional devices' dsp/script files, whithout having to install everything from scratch.

I´ve made me a separate "additional devices" folder with above method by installing sfp into two different directories with one holding all additional devices and setup to my desire. After comparing you have a list of all additional files beside the original ones, which I just copy over the existing fresh installation to get me back to work immedeatly.

Hi again,

The file was there, not sure why it wouldnt read it but I decided to install 3.1c and then upgrate to 4.0 and now everything is working fine.

Wont be able to test this new system till tomorrow some time since I am in instalation hell right now.

Thanks for the reply

Cheers!

The culprit files might be read only. Use attrib -r in the directory.
