Greetings; I got SFP v4.0 installed today fairly painlessly, but now the only Asio driver available to me in Logic (LAWP ver 5.5) is one I've never seen before -- 1Asio Direct X Driver'
Logic won't work at all w/ this driver...no playback or recording at all. Anyone else having the same experience? The driver that used to be available in Logic, under SFP v3.1 was called something like 'Scope Asio' (i don't recall the exact name). This sucks.
The Asio modules I'm using in my CW setup
are Asio2 24 Source and Asio2 Dest...
Should we be using different Asio modules w/ v4.0? (I've actually tried several different Asio modules tonight, but w/ no luck).
Cheers
Glenn

ASIO is still working fine for me here with Sonar. Maybe you should reinstall SFP again?

i just used lap5.5.1 w/ 4.0 last night and everything was good....
an obvious question(and i know it's a dumb one) "do you have asio modules in your project?"
knowing that the answer is obviously "yes",question #2 is "did you restart your computer yet?".
knowing that the answer to #2 is also "yes",i'd suggest trying the install again........maybe the logic install was corrupted some how,you could try installing the 5.5.1 update(free on the emagic site).
*edit* ahh, i see you had responded b4 i finished figuring out what to say. glad it's working, v4.0 should work as well.....

Garyb what Asio driver are you using in Logic?
I've tried installing Scope V4 again, and once again all I see available in Logic is 'Asio Direct X Full Duplex.' I can start playback in Logic, but i get no sound, and continuous 'Asio system overload' or 'midi sync' errors start happening immediately upon starting playback....
FWIW SFP v3.1 has worked flawlessly for me...
Cheers

LAP 5.51, WinXP Pro, SFP 4.0 working fine here.
I did have to reset some of the files in SFPAppdsp which were marked hidden & system, and it took 2 installs to get the ASIO drivers to isntall properly (the 1st install might have only removed the old ones?) but I just bounced a full tune down last night I had been working on all week, using SFP4 this time.

But what Asio driver are you using in Logic, Valis? Is it the same Asio driver -- Scope Asio -- that appeared in Logic when using SFP v3.1?
I've tried reinstalling Scope v4 a number of times (ie. both over v3.1, in a new folder w/ v3.1 still installed, and in a new folder w/ v3.1 removed)...no joy. I got my CW cards synced to wordclock (via a syncplate) coming from a Swissonics AD/96...after installing v4, it seems that Logic isn't seeing the wordclock signal, because 'internal' is the only Logic sync option available to me in the Asio Driver Dialogue box...
Quick digression; Valis do you think it's worth the effort of upgrading, w/ respect to the how Logic is working for you under Scope v4?
Cheers

Well I've only spent one day in it but it seems fine to me. Personally I managed to work it in where it wouldn't be too hurtful to my schedule to install, and I saved my old setup at the same time.
What I did was rename my current/old 3.x SFP dir C:SFP3 and then (after updating shortcuts too) I run sfp.exe from within there and went into set>settings>directories and updated the dirs to reflect the SFP3 change.
(edit: note that SFP3 dir contains my OLD SFP installation-obviously SFP4 was placed into a new install, in this case the default C:SFP)
Then I updated the driver for both of my boards manually in Device Manager, rebooted and installed SFP4. First install I forgot to install flexor & a few other things so I went to a new project, ran every .oxe for CW & 3rd party stuff to install it. Then I copied over my presets & SF{Appdsp files (holding down the N key to keep any existing (potentially newer) files and only copy ones that don't exist.
After restarted SFP so that the .oxe installs finished, I closed & restarted SFP *again* (so that the new dsp files would be seen, they weren't otherwise) and then everything seemed in order. When I ran Wavelab to find the ASIO drivers I noticed they were missing completely. So I just installed SFP4 over the top again and now everything seems to work fine and all my old projects load fine. I went to the trouble of replacing all modules in my NewProject.pro and other default projects, but my current stuff I will probably just keep as is until its finished & archived.

Greetings; For the benefit of anyone following this saga, I decided to have one more go w/ Scope v4 -- i thought maybe if I installed it twice this time, like the previous author, it might work....
Well, for reasons totally unknown to me, it worked on my first installation this time around...I'm sure i didn't do anything different that before, but suddenly the proper Scope Asio driver is appearing in Logic, and everything appears to be working fine....
(Come to think about it, at a restaurant this evening I 'fessed up to a waitress about an item she left off my bill -- maybe I'm simply the beneficiary of some good karma that i created for myself tonight)...anyhow, this is looking like a happy ending...to anyone who offered assistance in this thread, thanks for your help....
Cheers
