I'm not quite happy with it but I've been working on it for too long already so I don't think I'll do any more work on it for the time being.
Anyway, it's a progressive trance thing, which uses; Kick Me!, Orbitone 303, Albino, Nord Rack, Vinco, Timeworks EQ.

Comments would be appreciated as always. Thanks for listening!

EDIT: Well I did some more work on it anyway  Added more percussion, a different intro and some vocal samples. Sounds much better now if I say so myself

Lovely track, King! I'm not really into Trance, but the sound of this piece reminds me somewhat of the second album of my old heroes Underworld. With your username, you know their music probably too

This should work really well on the dancefloor. It has a nice drive and it sounds well mixed.

My only gripe is that I think that after the break the mix becomes a bit too busy. Especially since most sounds have a saw-like timbre. Maybe you should ask yourself the question: which sounds are truely vital for this track?

cheers,
vincent

Thanks. I'm trying to fix some things up in the mix but not having monitors means I can only go so far before I make it worse than it was before. It's hard to mix when you can't hear what you're doing, especially when you have quite a lot of sounds going on.

And comparing my tracks to Underworld is always the best compliment anyone can give me since (as you might have guessed) I'm a huge fan of theirs

Superb full sounding track.
Great instrumentation throughout.
The key changes are perfect and sets it above most of the tracks of a similar genre that are about.
The high arpeggios/sequences really carry the track well.
Love it

I really enjoyed this..... particulary the first section and the first break down . . . really well produced.
The bass timbre is superb!!!

I just felt that the first section could have lasted longer or been a dance floor thing in it's own right.

And Charlie said: "I'm cool with that" and set fire to a posh hammer to make it official

very cool track indeed!
yes, underworld came to my mind as well, but obviously you don't fear the comparison  (i'm not a big fan, although kittens and moaner are killer tracks!)
i liked the first version better... more powerful to my ears, also the intro suited the song nicer imho, although the added hihats in the middle part was a good move.

it must be real good if i start liking trance  take it as a big compliment... tastes do differ.

I went back to this and have been listening to this tune now for almost a week. Have fallen in love with it.
Much more complex and interesting arrangement than I gave you credit for in my first review.

Definitely sounds more rich and interesting than Underworld IMHO

I like such chords - they make me feel relaxed and refreshed. Thanks!

The only thing I would change is the coda. But it's me

whew, this one has a top groove. I can't keep my feets in control. The bass is super thick sounding...great...and the shuffled feeling is exellent.

My only comment is the middle part where the claps are alone beatwise, I think it sounds a little cheezy, but that may be me that are not into the genre.

I don't care if you're from mars or whatever, this is topnotch.
Yours truely
