Hi peeps,
just a silly question, but not that silly as I really can't paste my "request string" outside of SFP environment ??
This is to request an activation key for a Plug in (after having received a serial).
Right click, Ctrl V, nothing works ?

Any idea ? apart from from typing by hand ?

Cheers,
PS : I am using XP Pro.

Right click????
surely you mean Ctrl+C?
Then just paste into notepad, or wherever you want

ie. highlight the rs, copy [ctrl+c], go to notepad or your e-mail prog, & paste [ctrl+v]

actually I often found the same behaviour with string copy/paste, not always but often.
These strings obviously have a higher security level than normal text, I guess this is the reason you can't always use the copy/paste function
it's boring when you have troubles and need to reinstall stuff more than once

@Plato
"Right click????"
Yes you can right click to paste ..

"surely you mean Ctrl+C?"
No I really meant Ctrl+V ... to paste.
You see my problem is the paste.

"highlight the rs"
You can't do that unfortunately.

"isn't there a copy to clipboard button"
That is right, and that is the only way to copy to "a" clipboard.
But once you clicked on that button and then go to anywhere else like the notepad .. it does not paste the string.

But if I open the SFP notepad, and do the Ctrl+V, then the "paste" works ok.
seems like the clipboard is only operational
within the SFP environment.
Anyway it is not the clipboard that my XP is using... like it is copying it somewhere in another memory area ??
really annoying..
SFP or XP bug ?

Sorry, didn't mean to try to teach Grandma to suck eggs......you probably knew all that, right? (what an irritating git I am), but it's always been dead straight-forward on my system.
Hey, I never knew about the right click to paste thing....thanks!
I'm sure something must be up with your system if it's not happening, though...... ......I'm going to do a bit of re-installing later tonight anyway so I'll double-check & let you know.

Hello!

I get the same behaviour sometimes myself... I remember that I had found a solution other than copying by hand but cant remember right now...and the problem is that I will be home after 10 days, in order to tell you... So... for the moment, I am afraid you will have to copy the whole thing by hand!

Hi Huub

In your settings there is an option to save recovery files - try it
