Greetings all,

Well its time now to try and get over this next hurdle, in the last few days I notice that I am getting a few random pops in playback, they actually sound like hardware switching on, what is killing me is this is happening on extremely light playback.

In a track I had like 4 strereo audio tracks and 2/3 midi tracks playing like 8 bars of music in a loop, the only effects running were from my powercore and I had minimax and prodessey loaded in SFP with (1) delay (S) loaded.

It doesnt happen all the time but is extremely frustrating, so I went to my IRQ settings and noticed I still had devices being shared, so I disabled the additional com port in my PC and now my DSP cards all have they're own IRQs, nothing is being shared, all TC Powercore, UAD-1 and my PowerPulsar.

I checked my page file size in virtual memory and noticed I had system handling, so I switched it to 1024/1024 and still had no luck, I noticed in Nuendo I was getting some odd CPU movement here and there and went to the out/in's page and reset all for both, this actually fixed about 75% of the CPU meter movement. I checked the ULLI and I am at 14ms, I moved it up from the 7ms I usually run at 44.1

I have no clue what else to do at this point, I just read counterarts thread and saw some one suggest a defrag for his issue, I will give that a try tonight its been a while since I did the last one, I suppose maybe one of the audio files I have in the track could be fragmented, but would that make the pop random?

Any ideas what else I could do to stop this glitching, I mean now that I *finaly* have all my DSP cards on they're own IRQs im just about where I want to be, I just need to get this audio issue sorted an dill be in perfect shape!

Any tips or ideas what else to look for would be welcomed.

Thanks all!

Thanks for the link Plato, but I am running an AMD, I dont think it functions and uses the same mobo files as a P4 does..

Asus A7N8X with an Athlon XP 2500+, 1 Gig of PC3200 DDR400.

Im defragging now hopefully it will help, just curious how would I find out if I need this file and also how do you adjust the PCI latency?

Cheers!
