Is somebody using Pulsar XTC with Luna/Elektra/PowerSampler as the only soundcard and with VST 5.0 R5 or R6? I'm having a big problem with this constellation:
PS works wonderfull with its own software (v. 2.5). However, when I wanna use the XTC (v. 3.01), i.e. without loading the PS software, it is as if there was no soundcard at all, no ASIO, WAV or MIDI drivers, allthough they are enabled in the XTC IOenabler and PS and XTC are connected via S/TDM. It is as if the XTC software was not able to load the drivers for the PS, which is a big mess, cause they are both CreamWare products! I'm sure XTC would work with something like an old SB16 from the supermarket, cause this one loads its own drivers at the system start itself, so no way for the XTC to mess it up by not being able to load them!
My system:
PIII 800 MHz
Gigabyte GA-6VX7-4X MoBo (Via Apollo Pro133 A, newest 4in1 drivers, WPCREDIT tweaks, works fine with all PS versions, never had PCI overflows)
512 MB PC 133
Adaptec AHA 2940 UW, IRQ 10
2 x IBM SCSI HDD
Elsa Victory II AGP, IRQ 11
PowerSampler v.2.5, IRQ 5
XTC v. 3.01, IRQ 9
Win ME, all the usual DAW tweaks
Cubase VST/32 5.0 R6
Help! XTC + PS = big mess!
Upgrade to XTC 3.02, then you can use the outputs in a freely routable way like normal Pulsar:

That's not what I'm talking about. My problem is that in XTC mode Cubase is not able to open the PS sounddrivers, i.e. asio and midi. I know the difference between XTC mode and Luna/PS/Elektra mode and I'm aware of that one cannot run both at the same time.On 2001-08-27 02:52, PatWest wrote:
XTC doesnt support standard Pulsar plugins (wich they doesnt say on the info page), PS is one of them, i guess there will be an udate for you someday.
