Standard mode not responding to keyboard typing

I have gotten this strange problem with SFP. In standard mode (not in classic), I can not type anything. I can not rename the mixers or write anything at the buttom of the channels. Arrows and page up/down does nothing to the value of the selected parameter. I have tried uninstalling SFP and reinstalling - several times. I have tried copying a backup SFP installation - no luck. I don't want to reinstall windows again. This will cost me my 3rd. keyrequest from Samplitude.
