Greetings to all,
What is it and why or how would I use it? Where could I find more info on it. Please, go easy on me I'm a rookie.

World Clock on my Sync Plate?
The wordclock connectors (called BNC connections) are used to sync different pieces of digital equipment through a common reference signal fed through that connection. Generally a master clock or device that acts as a master clock is used as the reference and all other devices "slave" from that clock. For audio, the clock typically specifies bit and frequency information (i.e. 24 bit / 96khz)
Sync can be done either through spdif, ADAT or BNC connections, but BNC is typically the most stable and consistent.

Hi Hub,
First of all, it's word, not world clock. It's used for a better synchronization, especially when you have several digital devices which you want to connect into a system, an external dedicated word clock master source would be the best way to do so, providing synchronization to all the "slaves". It's all related to jitter and how to do away with it. I'm sure some "tech" guys here can explain this more in detail.
