Mixer
I would like to see something like a modded dynamixer.
Instead of 2 inserts, it would have 4 (a global setting from 0-6 would be optimal).
These inserts would have a dry and wet knob and a bypass (inspired by SpaceF's insert device (wich unfortunately doesn't work as an insert itself).
Also, they would have arrows - one up and one down. When an arrow is pushed, the insert moves up or down in the order.
Finally, there will be 3 aux sends (again a global setting from 0-4 would be optimal) on every channel. These aux sends should be in stereo.
The master channel will have:
2 stereo aux sends.
(maybe 2 global "number of inserts/aux" buttons (arrow up/down for each will do).
A global "effects on/off after loading button". When set to off, the inserts will be bypassed when they are initially loaded - thus preventing unnessesary pops.
Also the aux sends should not be "wired". They should be working "insert style" in the master section - again with wet, dry and bypass buttons should be at hand.

I know this will make a taller mixer, but not a much wider mixer. This way, there can still be plenty of channels on a PC monitor (probably 15 on a 1024*768 monitor). I think it will make a much more ergonomic mixer - a thing still missing in SFP.
Personally I would commit myself to paying 80€ for a version without global buttons and 100€ for a version with global buttons. If you charge differently I will still considder it strongly. My current projects are rather messy. If you created this mixer, it would in praxis substitute the routing window for me.
All in all, I guess it doesn't need any atoms not found in the dynamixer. It would take some routing work though. You know better than me how much.

So for the insert channel with with user defined position in the chain, it's ok
you can also put the same value to several inserts, so they are in parralel on that value...
Just one question : the little display where you put the insert position in the chain : is it better to call it "rank" or "position" or... ? For the moment it is "position" but may be there are better labels....
This is important for the record channel output (selectable from any "position", including Dry, wet or normal output (dry+wet).
One thing ; the slots themselves do not move in the chain...
What else, mmm, well, cross fingers so the dev works at the end

That looks very nice
Even though it would take a greater sum of DSP power (I have tried having a start-up project with 32 of your MIDI-insert), I would find send/dry/wet very usefull.
Like if I want to use Celmos Radio Carolina - it makes some huge peaks sometimes.
On the other hand, I think I could live eithout the "result matrix" (depending on it's functions).
If you wanted to realy spice it up, you could add a meter, that can be positioned anywhere in the chain - that would to me be even more usefull than send/dry/wet - if I have the luxury to choose one thing (if you don't, I would probably use j9k's 100vu in most all the multi-inserts.
The record position option is purely briliant. An alternative idea would be to have a "turning knob" instead of a "drag up/down textfield". I don't even know, what I would prefer - it was just a thought.
This device will definitely go to my "quick spot" - in the stereo folder outside the subfolders (reverb/delay/modulation etc.) - for easiest acces

By the way, a few years ago I made those
mixers (i still use the small one DP).
Today it would be much more optimised in look and ressources.
But now with the STM mixers
I wonder if there is a need for other
mixers, or may be smaller mixers ?
Any opinion ?
I hope old members of the spacef area won't be mad that the 5K mix is available (they still have the big omix and other cool devs)

5Kmix was made to cable a STS at once using "N" key, and messing around with
effects on the different channels, and to send the sub mix to another mixer, or to record.
The Omix, integrated additional, very simple mono/stereo channels.
It was one of the first device to use "sub-presets" (even before sfp itself
.
Sub presets basically allowed to change "mute" configurations at once w/ a
program change, or to change all aux at once... Also, it had to be small on screen.
The DSP menu also allows to desactivate some channels when not needed.
It sill works in SFP 3.1 eventhough it is an "older format" (presets etc) and the gui is a litlle bit complicated due to past limitations.
I don't know if it loads in Luna.

That mixer is not exactly, what I was thinking of. However, my SFP projects are changing a lot durring the past 2 months. At the moment, I use no stereo inserts at all, as I experienced some rather anoying phase problems. The mixer, I explained initially, would IMO only be realy worth the developers time, if the inserts would be phase consistent.
If that was possible, I think a layout inspired by 2448 would be nice. It should not have a fixed amount of chanels though. But having all inserts (and aux sends too - thank you) to the right of the master makes much sence in terms of saving screan real estate.
