Related to the marketing thread. (Sort of.)
Instead of just having an all-encompassing 'Creamware software', how about splitting it into SFP and plugins? Just like Windows and applications.

The advantages.
  • Individual plugins could be updated and released 'as and when' without the need to wait for a new SFP.
  • When SFP is finally updated downloads would be smaller.
  • Clearer, more logical separation of functions.

ouch, that's a good one. Just like Windows and application are tied together by the main supplier - so is SFP.
Most stuff below the surface is working pretty tight together, imho it's even impossible to develope independent 'parts'.
Most problems are OS and (external) driver related and of course a good share for a GUI polish (which in fact is a huge effort).
Considering SFP's complexity and compatibility list I find it remarkably stable, seriously.
