Well, I've learned the basics of creating synthesizer patches now and I'm really getting into Modular. I'm getting to the point where I'm thinking up new ways to modulate modulators in my sleep, etc.
I'd like to start creating diagrams of patches I'm designing prior to creating them in Modular so I can more easily keep track of their complexities and document them. I'm thinking of using Visio. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,
I created all these diagrams (from the patch pages on my site):
<a href="http://bwmodular.crosswinds.net/images/ ... signal.GIF" target="_blank">Monophonic Astronaut</a>
<a href="http://bwmodular.crosswinds.net/images/ ... alflow.GIF" target="_blank">Organic v1</a>
<a href="http://bwmodular.crosswinds.net/images/ ... alflow.GIF" target="_blank">Organic v2</a>
<a href="http://bwmodular.crosswinds.net/images/ ... signal.GIF" target="_blank">Mystic Journey2</a>
<a href="http://bwmodular.crosswinds.net/images/ ... l_flow.GIF" target="_blank">Schulzator</a>
<a href="http://bwmodular.crosswinds.net/images/ ... signal.gif" target="_blank">Space Cadet</a>
<a href="http://bwmodular.crosswinds.net/images/ ... 2_flow.gif" target="_blank">Synth Guitar</a>
using Visio, and I found it pretty good for the job, once I'd learned a bit about how it works. As you can see, some of these are more sophisticated than others in terms of colours, etc, but they're all from Visio.
There's no stencils of the different modules though, just boxes and arrows.
I'd really like to see any diagrams you make for patches which you post here, if you don't mind posting them as well?
Have fun,
Ben
