Which video card

Hi, anyone know if the ATI Radeon 8600 pro 128MB causes any conflicts with Pulsar? I'm looking to upgrade my graphics but there's so many to choose from....And I don't need and/or can't afford the top of the range!

hello there,
i have no idea about the 8600, but just a tip: get a card without a cooling fan! or fit a heatpipe manually... i hate that noise!

Did you mean Radeon 9600Pro?
I have one and noticed some improvement in pulsar's graphical performance. No problems with the card.

Yes, I meant 9600, whoops, slip of the finger.
Noise, yes good point. That could be a problem.

Yeah if you don't play games avoid the high powered 3D cards even if they don't have a fan they will still produce heat inside your case, which you may have to remove with a fan.

Matrox are apparently good in terms of image quality.

Also have a look at the ATi Radeon 9200SE.
