here we go again. After many troubles with the ModularIII Preset Bug (see thread at the Modular talk forum) i decided to go on with the Morpheus successor in the Modular2 shell. And here it is; the MorpheusV2

It comes with >50 Presets. Many new ones and some converted from the old Morpheus. New Presets have "--" as prefix and converted Presets are followed by a "*" for easier recognition. It's very time consuming to adjust the old presets to the new Patch so it'll take some time to convert them all.
However it makes more fun to discover the new possibilities of sound shaping and creating new presets!
I added some new modules from the ModularIII and the MixerMatrix from j9k. That gives a vast more flexibility in modulation routings. But every pro has its con: In this case it means that ModularIII is required for using the patch. And the number of voices is decreased. I can play a max of 7 voices on my Pulsar2 card .
Nevertheless i think it's worth the sacrifice

Special thanks go to spacef for the Text module and j9k for the powerful Matrix module which i won't miss anymore!.

As usual let me know if you like the patch.

Regards, Stefan

thanks!
morpheus was one of my favorite m2 patches! fortunately now i have mod3
i wonder what can become morpheus with flexor!! (are you ready for morpheus v3? )
I'D really like to dive into flexor. But first I'd like to have a working Modular(III) shell to get the benefits that are implemented. Modular2 is just a temporary solution due to the bugs in ModularIII!
But maybe if i have a weak moment in near future...

Yes, very impressive patch, and lots of very inspiring presets - thanks for the hard work that you've put into this.
The text box displaying the preset name is a useful feature (but does of course rely on the user remembering to change the value of this module with every preset they make).
Thanks also for the sound examples you've posted - also very inspiring and really nice to listen to as well!
I look forward to spending more time with this patch !
Cheers,
Ben

to be honest i discovered that "feature" by accident after altering another textbox while building the presets. But it doesn't necessarily mean that one has to write the preset name into it. Use it as a reminder or info or whatever box if you like. Or just leave it blankOn 2003-11-14 07:01, Ben Walker wrote:

God damn it!
I knew as soon as I left town something good would happen in patches. This is killing me, as I won't be able to play my DAW till July 5th. Life sucks the big wazoo w/o SFP. I haven't been away from a SFP DAW for more than several hours, since last July. I am jonesing. STW, please have pity on me, as I can only hear about your great patch. I have to go buy dinner 4 five feverish, overly excited children, that have been screaming all day from the rides and roller coasters here in Disneyworld. I don't even get laid till July 5th!!! To make matters even worse, during the Pirates Of The Carribean ride, they played Isao Tomitas rendition of Holst's " The Planets." It's killing me as it was done all on a Melotron, and the MOOG MODULAR SERIES 100!! I'm so used to running to my DAW when I hear great stuff or have an idea, I'm just trying to chase down these little bastards as they are all 10 years old and very fast. I miss my forums, and my DAW's.

I can't wait to hear this. My SFP buddy here in LV says that you are a brilliant preset maker. He says I am only good at making fat synth sounds. We loved the Jodie Foster movie "Contact", especially when they pulled out the Eventide H3000 which had the sound/Hitler video speech that was sent into space in 1936 to show superior German technology. He said that you nailed the sound. I gotta fuckin hear this now.
Congrats, As this guy rarely compliments anything, anyone does. He masters w/ Pro Tools on a Dual Opteron Tyan set up, and makes alot of money here. So be proud of your work.
