Where are the reverbs?
Is anything in development for our favourite platform? What about the appz promised by Earlyfirst? Should we be still expecting them?
What are your favourite reverbs for sfp?
Masterverb is cool, but it's not really useable for a serious production, at least not on a solo instrument... Is masterverb pro really superior?
A convolution reverb would be cool too, even though there are lots of things on the native front (logic's space designer, Tascam's and vsl's announced programs...)
I know reverbs are not exactly a revolutionary area so to speak, but how important they are!
What do you guys think about it?

I love them all
the more, the better...
but since I cannot afford some of the very high enders, convolution is a great way to trade money versus realtime
btw: one of my absolute favourites was the delay-reverb section in the Kawai K4. It is so shitty that it's cool again.
If anyone knows if Kawai ever built an external fx unit with these algorithms, please let me know
The RV4 is probably 'better', isn't it ?
cheers, Tom

There's some discussion about this in the Creamware forum :

I have a Lexicon MPX -1(550 € now)and i am
very happy with.I think all the soft reverbs
eat cpu resoursses and this i the reason why i buy a hardware reverb.Since i have it i
never used a soft reverb anymore.Masterverb
is obviously very good (better as the waves
one)but also hard for the dsps.
The lexicon is a multieffect processor(two dsp)so you can realive your system and have
better Fx.For 500€/$ i will buy it.

I don't know why, but I think you'll like particularly much the Tiworks Eliam, perhaps cos of your work. Please, contact Timeworks for a Demo.
I have had the EZ Timeworks Reverb for Pulsar, and its a trully fantastic sosftware, unfortunately it doen'st work anymore, cos it is not compatible with SCOPE 3.1c.
Seriously, give it a DEEP try, don't just seat there for two minutes, give it the try it deserves, you'll be surprised. Prices are going down all the time. The other good thing about it, is that they are for you, to use with Creamware, so the sound has a plus navive will not.
I strongly recomend you to get a DEMO, if you do, please, post here your results, I will be curious to get to know your impression.

I really miss the EarlyFirst Reverbs.
MPX-1 (I have one) reverb quality not much better than MVPro to me. PCM-90 (which is identical to PCM-91, except for AD-converters - and I have one too) is something but not completely free of ringing in reverb tail. What I dream of is the sound similar to Quantec QRS which I had the chance to audition in one friendly studio. The reverbs on QRS are amazing, surreal and larger than life. It has 17 DSPs on board, but coz its early 80's I do not think they are very powerfull. Again it proves that algorythm is everything.
The most DSP-heavy version of Early First rev demo is very good and fresh sounding. Is there a chance to get it completed?
When??!!

Seems like the next version (v2) of the EarlyFirst PT reverb series is currently being worked on:

(Note that I'm not familiar with them myself, and don't know how current the website is).

Well, I don't want to deflate any hope here, but I think that page has been like that for a long time. According to previous conversations with him, Paul has been doing band work for a long time and put the completion of the verbs on hold until he go that other stuff out the door.
I'm personally hoping that the page was updated the other day, as I really want the SurroundVerb or whatever he ends up calling it.
