i've been after a Roland Space Echo for a while, so if you can get something like that in SFP i'll be buying it. How about a wow & flutter control and degrading echoes for that 'reel' tape effect.

Also, i always loved using Mooniser for vocals, but haven't used it for a while - nice to have an SFP version. Yes some sort of bundle or somehing would be good.

All the best,
Mr A

What will be not implemented is Tape speed variations simulations, it just doesn't sound good for the moment. On the other side, it's the filter implementation and possibility that make this device worth.
I think it will be out in 1/2 weeks so you'll be able to judge (now it's just too ugly to post an image  (that's also why the "Reel delay" name is temporary)

About time someone started doing some neat things with delays & echoes. I wish you would expand the concept like Line 6 did with their Echo Farm (or whatever they are calling it).

Anyway, I will be watching for the final released version. Thanks!

I was just talking in another thread about how this platform needs more interesting delays and such.

Thanks for the heads up. I may have to bite the bullet and dive into the SpaceF membership now that the old ones will be SFP compatible.

Maybe don't expect immediate sales : CW 20 %, new devices, updates, new natives, SX2 ... etc

Busy Fall ... I think I will recover around Xmas ... and after, ski season !! doh !

Life sucks !

I wonder what this sounds like with a simple TB303 going through it.. (since that's what we'll drive it with anyway)

I know it - it's great - but it's VST only (I own a copy of Logic) and there will come a day I invest in FXpansion VST to AU converter

I own a nice SmartElectronix T-shirt

Delayum ?

I was thinking about something else

If you help me with naming, I would appreciate an equivalent of "wow&flutter" or "warble", those too are already taken (nb: i haven't heard the Line 6 "wow&flutter" function", what I have been listening to is records, and only records.

The function I want to name is a pitch shifter that simulates the action of a hand/finger that touches the Reel or a Vynil record and that makes it turn faster or slower. But the "Touch" action is only one of the action allowed (I have one action that can be set to extremes, to simulate the sound of a record that was forgotten in you car during a very hot day, and the record melted . Well, the parameter concerns any kind of speed variation (from very subtle to "shaking the tape machine").

It's not a scrub or scratch, and for the moment it's called "tape modulation".

So any any idea for such modulation is welcome. Normally, you win nothing except the joy of having that word on the device if it's a good idea

See you.

My propositions are:

crazy:

@ reelquake
@ tapequake
@ gum gun
@ speederman

normal:

@ time button/slider
@ speed wing
@ time wing

i'm just going to throw words in for you to juggle and mix'n'match, i'll edit this post as i think of new ones:

Meltdown
Vinyl Meltdown
Warp
Warp Actuator
Vinyl Warp
Reel Warp
Instability Agitator
Wobble Amount
Disfunction Function
Warpage
Warpig
Wobbler
Destructo
Tape Head Corruptor
Warpulation
Time Distressor
Circuit Distressor
Flux Distressor
Pulveriser
Deranger
Grime Factor
Grunge Factor

Tape Mutator
Tape Deterioration or Deteriorator
Circuit Deterioration
Vintage Instigator
Vinyl Solarisation

Heat Damage Ratio (ranges from 0='Stored away from direct sunlight' to 10='Left in the Gobi Desert)

For the 'Touch' control:
Finger Action (with ranges from 0='Light Pinky' to 10='Sticky Fingers' going up to 11='Ham Fisted')

PS. Would be nice if the 'Touch' control could be assigned to a Mod wheel or something for variable finger action.

PPS. i really must get out more.
