Just posting this to say thanks to all those who contributed to my recent posts re:software.
On Spirit's advice I posted on the Sonic Foundry forum re: buying Acid in Australia. I received prompt response from a chap in Melbourne who's going Mac with Logic and can't use his Sonic Foundry products. We negotiated and came up with a fair price to both.....I think.
So in a couple of days I'll have Acid Pro4, Sound Forge 6, and CD Architect, to go with Orion Platinum and SFP. And it's all genuine registered software.
Magix Music Studio and Cakewalk Home Studio are both obviously fabulous products at truly great prices. If I had bought either of these first, I probably wouldn't have bothered looking further.
Anyway, ........I'll go find some books on these programs and get my head down and my bum up. Once again, thanks be to Z.
