I'm sure that I've tried many experiments, I found the MIDI source out device (MIDI Input to pulsar/Scope-SP) has some in-compatible recieving the MIDI events like the contrls. The symtom like causes hanging notes/poping-noise to the synths or STS-4000/5000 family devices. This problem is very consistencely happen and very easy to re-produce it like you can play the key-board as MIDI-Controller to trigger the synths and sample-device/sts-4000 (NOTES + pedal-down or modulation-ctrl). Now, I must use other MIDI port interface form MIDI man (serial-MIDI) to get everything work right! Of course when you have inter-MIDI-Seq is working fine (no hanging notes) and the MIDI-Dest device (MIDI-OUT from pulsarII/Scope-SP) is also working fine. I hope Creamware knows this problem and will fix it in the next software release.
My application is that I must use the keyboard-contrls and external MIDI-sequencer like from other PC, for example.
Anyone has same problem? Solution? Workaround? Or simply never had problem?
Best regards,
Here is my setup
PCs: PIII-933-CUSL2-C and Athlon-1000Mhz (512MB)
2xPulsar V2.01 and 2xSCope-SP V2.04
Seq: Cakewalk9.03/JammerPro4.0/BB10

MIDI Source out device problem! It causes MIDI note hangs (
Subject: hi, it´s the same to me!
hi,
i have the same probs since i´m working on two machines. one machine is controlling the seqeunzings and the other machine with my pulsar I and the pulsar I srb is making the sound-synthesis. sometimes the note is hanging... most time only one note...
(
nice to know that you have the same problem!
thanx

Subject: probebly scopeSP driver
hi Long
sadly i have the same problem with most of the pulsar2/scope sp synths( i have both cards) and the problem happens when using scope midi source ( from another computer) as well as from the same computer using cubase (and seq. midi source). actually, some synths just stop working after few minutes/hours .
i dont have this problem with any sample device , but however ,if i use any (sts4000/5000 or even sample player) and going beind 40-50% dsp load - i get a dsp overload message which dont let me do anything more.
also some third party devices which work with pulsar2 get project 'stacked' when loaded (like sidechain compressor)
my PC is asus cusl 2 /866mhz and i tried working with the
pulsar204 software instead of the scope sp software - but the problems still remains
i belive there is a problem with the scope sp driver or hardware, since i know people whe work with SP software only , that have no problems but the sts4000/5000 dsp problem.

Subject: me too
I have exactly the same problem and its driving me crazy as I dont have any other midi souces in my computer any more. I find some times three of my outboard synths start to hang creating one almighty drone in my ears, and I have to constantly reset midi devices in cubase. Strangely it does not happen on playback. I hope this will be fixable in future.

Jun,
You are right! it works fine on the playback, the reason as I mentioned before that the problem on the MIDI-out device when you connect something from an external via the MIDI cable. So, if the playback is software driver, it should work fine! (it uses Midi-sequencer-out/in devices, nothing to do with it). Am I right? The problem is we won't have any playback tracks without correct recording, right?
We want to hear from you and Creamware to solve its problem, in order to have good music out of pulsar/Scope invironments.
Thanks
