You haven't said what OS, what version of SFP, Pulsar etc...

Is the DynamicMixer or DynaMixer? I'm not at home so I'm not sure but I think there are both DynaMixer and DynamicMixer and they are completly different devices - it only depends on the software version.

Anyway - if you try to use a 3.1 version of DynamicMixer in a 3.1c project then you can expect such misbehaviour. Or if you just use your 3.1 project in 3.1c environment. CW has stated they are incompatible so you have to delete the module manually and then load it (the newer one) once more. Or even they told us not to open 3.1 projects containing the DynamicMixer in 3.1c.

All above are my speculations (I mean the details, not the overal) cos I have no SFP documentation at my work but probably your trouble is just this.

Additionally - if you try to use DynaMixer in SFP you can expect such behaviour, too. I'm not sure about it as I haven't used the DynaMixer for ages.

This error used to crop up from time to time and people usually had a hard time tracking it down. I had it once for a short while with a much earlier version of SFP. Have you recently installed the software or upgraded ? Maybe try to reload SFP 3.1c.

that kind of messages is called 'debug code' and serves the programmers when testing apps under certain conditions or events.
It doesn't necessarily mean that something harmful is happening, but it's of course annoying. Usually that stuff (or most of it) is removed from the final releases.
After updating to 3.1c it didn't appear on my system anymore, while on the previous release I saw it a couple of times.

Cheers guys. Yeah, i'm on 3.1c and its from a project from i think even pre os 3, so as you say, i need to rebuild everything. It's a bit ridiculous that i have to rebuild all my projects, but i guess that's what i'll have to do (sorry guys, just venting here).
It is the dynamixer. I couldn't find a dynamixer in 3.1c, maybe i'm blind?!? Anyway, i'll try updating all my modules.
Thanks

Now it's called DynamicMixer. You don't have to open your old pre sfp projects in SFP - you can have both installs (ie Pulsar3 and SFP 3.1c) on your HD so you can launch a proper software version while working with older sessions  No harm is happening.

Yeah, update your modules then rebuild your project. Just remove them then re apply them. First time you might still get he message, but after reboot you should be OK! I recently had the same prob with STW updates.

Well, I think, the Dynamic Mixer is NOT the new name of Dynamixer. The direct follower of Dynamixer is the MicroMixer I think. Dynamic mixer is bigger and has more features.
If you have projects with the old Dynamixer (I hated his non-coupled faders in stereo channels!), then replace it with the MicroMixer if you want to economise DSP.

DynamicMixer isn't a part of the basic SFP 3.1c anymore. It's in one of the mixer packages now. According to CW you can copy it from your previous installation and your license stays valid without purchase of the new package of course.

[...] it's worse to know much but not to be sure of it than to know less but be sure of it [...] sorry for my incomplete or false answers - it's my fault

Yes, the MicroMixer is the successor to the DynaMIxer. And the thing about not using the Pulsar3 DynamicMixer - I have to check it in the manual to be sure what I'm saying
