I think this nifty sequencer might accompany VDAT quite well. Sequence synths from it, record mixer automation etc. It is supposed to slave to MTC too. So, when Logic gets a bit heavy:

Yall can shoot me if you want, but I'm gonna raise this issue from it's stinking grave...
Linux drivers would rewl! The OS is java based and Linux supports java... I know, I know, there are tons of other hurdles and Creamware should keep their focus in the direction they've been heading, but damn it would be cool. Of couse I say this having just switched my main box over to Linux... But there are actually some pretty powerful open source audio projects coming out!

Already been using (juicing
) Jazz++ for a while and I think its semi-random composing algorithms are nothing less than brilliant!
The interface could use a tweak (or two), but this package is really very promising. Especially if you like to experiment with musical algorithms.
