I wanted to ask this because I'm thinking of updating to ModularIII:
Does ModularIII sound better than Modular2?
Are the modules new programmed (filter, OSCs, ...) or are there only some new ones added by CW?
Is it worth to upgrade when I only want to build a few synths and rather play with the finished patches?
thanks
Harry

That's true, Mod-III isn't a terribly exciting upgrade. There's a quite a few new modules, but nothing really amazing.
I'd certainly go for Flexor when it arrives, but I suspect that many of the new patches that will include Flexor modules will also include Mod-III components since the keen Mod-builders will have both.
It'll also be interesting to see what devices will be included with Flexor.
The trouble with all this is the Modular area will get even more complex - soon they'll be even more categories:
- Mod I
- Mod II
- Mod III
- Mod II + Flexor
- Mod III + Flexor
That's getting a bit tedious IMHO.

Well Modular (1) is pretty much deceased, it is an ex-modular, it is no more etc. so i think we can forget that.
What would be a good idea from Creamware would be to offer say a Flexor+ModularIII upgrade at say €148 (assuming Flexor is €98 and ModIII upgrade is €98) thereby getting more people to go to ModIII when they get Flexor, and so moth-balling, or semi-retiring, Modular2.
i think this would simplifiy things as we would then have:
- Modular2 (starting to become less used)
- ModularIII (with most ModIII owners probably eventually getting Flexor)
- ModularIII+Flexor
which would pretty much end up being ModularIII + Flexor (phew!)
