Is this a good deal, or am I buying too old?

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

I had this offer today:
Powersampler and A16 (the old one) @ 340€

I said yes. If someone thinks it is a bad deal, please tell me within the next 20hours or so. I know these are old 18bit converters, but people here seam to find them ok - am I right?

Any replies are wellcome.

Why didn't I think of this earlier. I just thought: "well, the powersampler is about the worst i/o card to put into my PC as 3rd card." I have Pulsar1 and Scope SRB. But your post made me think. I mean, I don't have to keep the powersampler. I think, I should be able to get around 200€ for it - without SFP. Or am I too optimistic?

Actually I had thought of getting a Behringer ADA8000, when it comes out (250€). It has 8 i/o with ADAT. All inputs can take mic/line signals. It probably doesn't have a fan either. But then - it is more fun having a vintage CW converter, than a new Behringer. Hard to say, wich one will sound the best. 4years old 18bit mid range (I believe) converters or new high tech cheap converters. I think I will be fine for now.
