My Pulsar 1 got to be worth 400USD!!!
It's rather sad that a company like Creamware with such a great product have forgotten they are still the underdog and the only way to grow is to grow their base. As
it stands now they have fallen into the trap of getting what they can instead of sucking it up, forging onward and upward growing their base by offering more and not just a little more but as much as they possibly can to win more business. Lets face it times are tough and the global economy is suffering, and companies are folding left and right. If you take a look at Creative (I would not dare to compare the two cards but Creatives stratigy seems simple, keep adding features that work and at the same time time improving on the quality both sound and design. I do own the Creative Audigy 2 card (I also work with video) the spec's a are quite immpressive. I think we have to realise that we are a captive customer base, just like Pro Tools was when thay ruled the world, look at them now. Creamware is trying to suck our blood to survive, instead of ie lowering prices, offering more value for money, or even sucking up to us. When you watch the grammies the winner always thanks the fans creamware tries to thank
us by offering this lame trade in program. What a rip, do they think were stupid? My old Pulsar1 card got to be worth more than 400 USD
or Euro's for that matter, and they are offering us what..150 or 200 USD? Proof positive, it's that age old German mentality. Anyway what country would be in debt to saddam hussian for 400 billion dollars if they were not doing business with them anyway? The Germans hate Americians anyway. I drive thru there once or twice a month on my way to Denmark
(Great Country, and our Allies as well)I stopped at Micky D's on the autobahn for a dubble cheese burger and the guy couldent understand why I didn't speak German!! What an Jerk, anyway back to Creamware
They dont care about any stupid Americians, and I bet you we are their major market. Think about it, am I off base, I would like to hear your opinion. Man driving on the Autobahn is a blast, it is flat out, for as long as your car and passengers can stand it. And I
rarely see an accident.

In general you are right. But not only CW does this! We have Avid Media Composer at my work which was worth more or less $100 000 when we bought it. And guess what - now, after 3 years of using, we were offered to sell it for... $10 000... Can you belive it? Ten times less. Not 2 times like CW does... That's life. And CW is nothing new in it - even as an underdog.

1. I think it has nothing with mentality. German or American or whatever. On 2003-05-24 16:37, Blackhole wrote:

2. And hey, isn't it $400 (Euros) if you exchange your P1 to P2? http://www.creamware.de/en/Home/news/Up ... /offer.asp
And even more - you don't have to go through the process of finding a guy to buy your card.

Yes why on earth someone would expect you speak german in germany is totally beyond me as well. :rolleyes:the guy couldent understand why I didn't speak German!! What an Jerk
"They" should all just learn to speak "american" of course, now I get it.
As for the rest of your post, I don't really understand what you're trying to say. Yeah your old Pulsar one is probably not worth more than $400 now. The computer I bought three years ago isn't even worth 10% of what I bought it for. That's the way it goes, what do you want Creamware to do about this?
The trade-in program gives you 400 Euro for your Pulsar I, not 150-200, I don't know how you figured that. This is about the same as you would get for it if you sold it 2nd hand. Heck they even give you 300EUR discount on a Pulsar 2, just for being the owner of a Pulsar I! I think that's a pretty good deal actually.

well as i am someone raised in america and so i feel i can speak confidently,i see that you have done nothing to dispell the generalizations about america.the math is bad.the cw upgrade offer was MUCH better than apple's(an american company)offer of upgrade from pc to mac for users of logic.(the "upgrade" to mac would only cost about $2000!)so,math seems to be a stumbling block.how typical.
also, they are disrespectful, they come into your house, want THEIR food and think you should speak as THEY see fit.
the heavy trollism is certainly a sign of the present evil in high places effecting the youth, they want to be as mean as their elders..........
p.s. the REALY funny thing is that english is a germanic language.the fact that americans don't know german AND latin(the roots of their everyday speech)just shows how profoundly ignorant most americans are!(without knowing the roots of their speach, they really have no idea what they are saying.
)
oh,yes blackhole,if you are not american then i laugh also at myself.in fact i'll do that regardless..

As always, too short - I mean everything could be better in our lives and I have some complains about CW, too. Everybody does, don't you? But this doesn't lead me to say so hard words. I bet comparing your earnings with mine and the prices of CW stuff you are in better situation than me.On 2003-05-24 16:44, samplaire wrote:

Hello All, please forgive me if it seemed if I was dissing C.W. I love my C.W gear
and when it's time to get to work it's SFP
that I turn to. Even though it may not be
ready to work when I am. I sometimes have to play scientist just to get it to perform correctly, but when it works, it works.
I've been using Pulsar for 4 and 1/2 years now couldn't switch if I wanted to, the learning curve was way to steep. As for my statements about German marketing stratigies
and attitudes, I live here so I experince it first hand everyday. Americians are not to popular in Europe these days which is why I am moving the creative music hub of the universe, the U.K. Allies have to stick together you know, and the attitude in the U.K is an us, as in we attitude, Brit's are not to popular either, the first thing you hear when Europeans find out you are an American is the old (you Americians think you know it all,)and you can either agree with them or stand up for your self. I hope I did not cause any static on this forum
just my point of view.

Please, please stop wasting space on this forum and the Creamware forum.
I will be glad to see you go!!!!
(by the way, if I was to guess, I would say that you are not an american - and are just out to try to spread more hate about americans than anything else by insulting anyone you can. If you are indeed an american, than that is very sad and too bad, because you are doing nothing more than deepening stereotypes. Also, you do not have a very good command of the english language, as evident by the errors in your posts. Maybe you are trying to say americans have problems spelling and using words as well? As an american, I am insulted by your posts.)

well well... things like this happens once in a little while... a little no-no statement and the crowd goes wild. I think we're sort of over reacting. I doubt blackhole meant to insult anyone, but only wanted to let off some steam. I say, well, it's ok.
So let's just move on to the next topic before things get serious.
Blackhole, you may have noticed, but PlanetZ has a VERY international user base. People tend to stay away from using nationality as insults around here.

Well, as an American who is half German (and even speaks a little hacked up German), I will avoid getting involved in political conversations (awefully sensitive issue these days anyways), and just stick to music.
Now contemplating turning in my PularI, SRB, AND PowerSampler for a PulsarII system.
Carry on
