1. i'm monitoring solely through headphones, is there a headphones socket with the Luna II? if not, how do i do it??

2. can i use two luna ii's in the same system?

3. are there any synth included with luna ii? i'm especially looking forward to the modular but i understand the answer is no, i'd just like someone to confirm this sad fact

thanks! and looking forward to joining the creamware community

1.

No, there's no headphone out on the Luna, "just" the SPDIF, and a stereo analog
output, plus a z-link (firewire) connection for the optional luna I/O box which has 8 analog I/O to plug in your external gear.

2.

Yes that should be no problem. You can connect them with an STDM cable (ask you dealer for one) which basically gives you double the power (or the same as a Pulsar II actually)

3.

no synths included I'm afraid. Luna is meant to be a "recording" card more than a production platform.
here's a link to the device list: http://www.creamware.de/en/products/sfp ... celist.asp

Also it seems you get the Vocodizer plugin for free at the moment (http://www.creamware.de/en/products/sfp ... efault.asp). Be sure to ask your dealer about this as well.

If you really want to get into using synths and fx, actually using your Creamware stuff to make the sounds, I'd definitely try to go for the Pulsar 2 instead of the Luna.

One Pulsar II will cost you less money then two Luna II's, the Pulsar II occupies only one PCI slot and there's more software included!

Yes - If you plan to run synths on your Creamware card, the Luna will be a disappoinment because it doesn't come with any synth (There's a lot of free synths here on PlanetZ though  )and you will fairly quickly outgrow it. I started with a Electra card (Luna + Modular) but allready after two months I wanted more DSP-Power and bought a used XTC-card in february.
So go for the Pulsar II, and if you are short on money, look out for a used Pulsar II on Ebay (or here).
