i knew there was a crack for the first release of SFP, which enabled all the plugins (and i forward the notice to CW)
but i hope that with new release that crack will not work. anyway, if there is a crack for the current version of SFP, with the next version it will not work for sure!

and the sign "ingo raven" could be a fake (i assume!!)

IMHO Ingo Raven is a member of CW factory. So it must be complete nonsense if he would give cracks to other persons.
Otherwise, I've seen, the official CW dealers have CDs with all available plugins. That's why they have to know what they sell.
Maybe somebody has stolen such a hot CD? And tries to circulate it under a wrong name.
However, this would be a crime.

This is just extreme sarcasm, I'll never even think about that...

that's not the case. The protection isn't in the devices but in SFP. If you happen to find the checking code and modify it, anything will install.
It's that simple and therefore such code is generally hidden or scrambled, the more sophisticated - the better, but nothing is perfect
Anyway, if it's just bragging and sarcasm, ok.
But if people really start to use the stuff it might become an issue - though I don't think that's very probable.
Even with some discussions about CW's prices going on I'd consider planetz members too smart for something like that.

 cheers, Tom

Poor Ingo! I hope he will not read this, it's a shame!

Where do you have seen this, Paul R. Martin?

I think it may have sense to tell the facts to the law forces, enough is enough!

Interesting situation. The person who cracked it must be a Creamware user and own a board - obviously.

Then it would probably be possible for CW to do something sneaky ....

In the next software update you insert code which can sniff out if that particular "crack" of devices is installed in your PC. If it is then you get a message:

" SFP 3.2 cannot be installed. Please delete any unauthorised SFP software and try again "

1) This is *not* a crack. This is a teaser. It did not crack all (but yes, some) of Creamware's copyprotection.

2) Of course, it's not released by Ingo. Once more, this is a teaser and not an official statement or so.

3) If you want it, it may not too hard to find. But there's no use in putting your time in it -it doesn't work anyway.

You've been throlled.

IMHO, SFP 3.1c copy protection is still amongst the safest in the industry
