I have Focusrite VoiceMaster Pro balanced analog out to my Pulsar 2 analog in, but isn't better solution to use digital (unbalanced)output option from focusrite to Pulsar 2 AES/EBU Input.
Maybe I am little confuse but I don't know, is digital out converter from Focusrite better than Pulsar or maybe direct analog connect is the best way

Hi stelibo,
if you take balanced or unbalanced connections - analog is analog! If your Focusrite has a digital output (I'd prefer coax), then take it. But you can never connect dig out with analog in, that makes no sense.
Now, if you have a Pulsar Plus (with balanced I/O), then you can connect the balanced Out of the Focusrite with balanced In of the Pulsar - I think, balanced is better because of the lower disturbing noises, especially if you use longer cables.
Good luck, Thomas

yeah, but just use whatever YOU think sounds best.you may like the qualities of one converter over another but then, who's to say whats what?both units have pretty good a/d and your tastes may change with material.
really a non-issue.no chance of police involvement or broken gear.no chance of a listner saying "damn,if only he'd used his other a/d,this would be a smokin' track!".

Yes I have Pulsar plus and Focusrite have an optional A/D card operating at 24 bit, 96 kHz with S/PDIF output and BNC Wordclock input so any differences in sound quality between:
1. analog out from focusrite to analog in Pulsar Plus at operating 44.1kHz, 24 bit, or
2. S/PDIF out from focusrite to AES/EBU at 44.1kHz, 24 bit too
