Hi!
I would like to use gigastudio with sx and my luna 2.
Gigastudio has huge strings and piano samples with very good sensitivity but needs a lot of ressources for a low latency. Did any of you try to run Gigastudio on a separate DAW with another creamware card linked to the one which runs SX ?
Thanks for your advice

I used to work with giga on my 2.1 ghz p4 and it reached 160 notes of polyphony without problems. I was using Logic as a sequencer-mixer. If you want to use a lot of inserts and plug-ins at the same time, you'll need a dedicated machine, but I suggest that you record the dry tracks first, then close giga and work your mix with your wave files. The only issue is that you might need 2 physical drives so that you stream the samples from one while you record your tracks on the other OR you limit the number of tracks that you record at the same time and do it in several passages. In this way you might to be able to do everything on one computer, provided it's reliable enough...

I had to turn off ASIO in background for the gigastudio to work properly with Cubase SX.

Thanks for the help.
With a giga piano of 900 Mo when I want a latency of 7 or 10 ms I'm getting clicks while playing...
config is P4 1,7Ghz
768 Mo of Rambus
TH7 II Raid
WD Spec Ed Caviar 80 Go (giga hd) with 8 Mo of buffer
IBM 60GXP for WinXP Pro optimized
Luna II
SFP 3.1c

All I can tell you is that I have a slower computer and get no clicks with the giga piano. People say you shouldn't use SCSI. It's true that many people put the gigastudio on another computer.
