well......can the Luna 2496 I/O box be rackmounted ?

Not really...

But i saw a guy who velcroed two of them togheter with a mounting bracket to create a 1 unit rackmountable pair of Luna IO box...

Look pretty cool, and work great.

It has no provisions for it, no holes or flange or so.

It has dimensions of half a rack unit, so you can fit/tape it in I guess.

I did the same thing last year when I had two 2496 boxes. I went down to my local pro music store and bought a single space rack-mount shelf. I think the manufacturer was Middle Atlantic. The two units sat side-by-side beautifully on this shelf. The shelf didn't have a front lip so the units sat flush with the front of the shelf. I used velcro to mount the units to the shelf. Worked like a charm and looked very cool.

If your local music store doesn't carry such stuff, check Musicians Friend or Markertek (both have on-line stores).
