Just load XTC module MULTI FX S and from there you can load even 3rd Party plugs. Read it somewhere else on Planetz - works great. I hated that I couldn't use my SPL Attacker & Timeworks filters and Rev. and compressors in XTC - but using this tip - it works!
It's a little tricky: in XTC-mode (in the MULTI FX S-module loaded) - believe it or not - you'll see the contents of your SFP-devices folder (NOT devices-XTC):
<C:...SFPDevicesEffectsStereo>. There you'll have to copy your 3rd-party devices or whatever you like to access them in XTC (SPL-Attacker e.g.).
Happy pulsaring!

Use NON-XTC devices in XTC mode!
That's perfectly normal to see your /SFP/Devices/Effects/Mono or /Stereo there. Your XTC MultiFX rack does not load XTC devices, it loads OS effects. XTC MultiFX rack loads exactly the same devices, not the XTC versions, as the SFP OS MultiFX rack. It's a little tricky: in XTC-mode (in the MULTI FX S-module loaded) - believe it or not - you'll see the contents of your SFP-devices folder (NOT devices-XTC):
My 3rd party insters I drag from their folders (Win Explorer) into the MultiFX.
Hi,
I got problems reloading XTC projects with pre-SFP devices in Multi-Fx. At least, that's what I think I narrowed most XTC issues down to.
Can all you XTC users use the same MultiFx presets in XTc than in SFP, I mean with 2.04 inserts etc?
Cheers.

So the question on the table is:
Can you reliably save and reload projects that contain non-XTC plugs wrapped in the MultiFXs?
Saving presets on the multiFX seems to be unreliable in recalling settings on the contained plugs [e.g. STW 4080L], but I am interested to do some more testing and hear others experiences, since there seems to be no clear answer.
Also, for those that haven't seen it, please reply to this thread, concerning SonicTimeworks evaluating whether or not they will XTC-ify their plugins [YES PLEASE YES!]

The poll is not about whether Timeworks will create XTC plugs or not, it's about how many Creamwarians actually use XTC mode...

That would be extrememly cool, running the modular as a VSTi or VST fx...On 2002-12-07 12:26, algorhythm wrote:
are we talking FX only in XTC mode? I think so, but damn I'd love to have the Modular in XTC. mmmm
If users continue to get behind XTC, I'm sure this will eventually happen.
In the mean time, I'd settle for being able to use my higher quality 3rd party plugs in XTC mode. Having made a hefty investment in the STW stuff, it's disappointing to not be able to use them like the rest of the Pulsar plugs in XTC mode.
