LUNA and SPDIF connections

can i connect to Luna a hardware FX unit via SPFIF and use LUNA+Pulsar as master?
my wish: Luna analog out to FX unit in
FX unit SPDIF out to LUNA SPDIF in
and creamward card as master.
is it possible?

Not in that configuration. The master should always be sending. Send via S/P-DIF too, if possible.
If Luna is receiving only, it should be slaved.

damn! so a device with only an SPDIF output is ALWAYS the master?
to set such a device to a slave a wordclock should be used? (i'm referring to the connection with the BNC, is it the wordclock, right?

)
