S/Mux for 24bit@96khz...but what about working at 24bit@44.1

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

Are adat ports capable of doing this by default, ie., were I to (gasp) choose to use converters from RME or HDCD could I work at 24bits @ 44.1 khz into the pulsar through adat without running S/Mux? If so, how many channels would I get?

Still researching my options for a16 Ultra/RME etc....

I don't use the ADAT ports myself, but a.f.a.i.k. you can use 8 channels of 24bit/44KHz audio with the standard ADAT protocol.

Yep, like Garyb says plus if you buy a zlink interface for the pulsar card, a single A16 will get you 16ch 24bit @ 96kHz. Gotta be happy with that!
