On CW forum people report that the new mac G4 2*1,x Ghz show up a serious problem.
If you want to put 2 CW cards in it, the STDM cable connector physically prohibits closing the case cause of the power supply.
There is just not enough place for two...
Think this is serious, I asked Ingo/CW staff to check this and if it's true to mention it on the CW site.
This is bad news, cause for sure there comes a day I wanne buy myself a new mac plus a second (SRB) card.
The great CW concept of chaining two cards (plug and play) here turns as a disadvantage for new mac users.
I hope there will come a solution in the future, if this is all true.
Anyone with more information/experience about this?
new macs don't let built in 2 CW cards...
ooh, that was fuxxxxxed.
I got a dual 800 quicksilver
and that worked fine.
I got 2 pulsar II cards in it.
and use it like a DVD produktion studio
also. I love it !!!
a friend of mine bought the new
dual model (that was released 2 months ago).
and Its seem to be a little different on the inside. hmmmm.
I am going to buy a new mars april 03 summer ,.maybe I keep my dual 800 mac and only use that
as a powerful pulsarsystem
if this problem seem to countinue .
thanks for telling, !!!
so people can either hope that the problem will be fixed from apple or CW.
or...to have a backupplan.
