DSP vs Native on Heavy Sessions

Post by Samu »

Hi,
Running a full session stacked with modular EQs and comps, and the CPU’s getting pushed hard. Offloading to the Scope DSP keeps things solid, no dropouts, smooth routing, but some of the native plugs have a bit more bite and character that the hardware doesn’t quite hit. Looking to see how others balance it – do you lean all-in on DSP for stability or keep certain chains native for tonal quality? Any tricks for routing or juggling heavy projects without grinding the system down would be gold.
