Yeah. I'd rather have 30 500MHX sharcs, though.

i belive there will be a new generetion cw board this fall or spring. there must be a reason they delayed noah. if noah is supposed to cut in in the hw world of synths/workstations it need more than a pulsar2(as originally anounced) can offer.

Yeaa, you're probably right Thermos.

I think that CPUs anyway are getting extremely powerful and if Creamware does not do as you say, DSP cards will become useless. The real point is to keep DSP boards at least slightly more powerful than most computer CPUs, if not, it will become useless to own a card cos the CPU can do everything for you. This is obvious.

I'd like to add a few modifications to your specifications if allowed:

66mhz on the 64bit card and the ability to interconnect more than 3 64bit Scope/Pulsars. A bridge on a 1/2 multiplier to allow ribbon cable connection to older 33mhz cards to keep them in the mix. The 64bit/66mhz cards and 2 (or 3?!) 32bit/33mhz cards at a time are supported simultaniously.

for curiosity just downloaded Analog's DSP selection guide:

current Pulsar DSP
ADSP-21065L, 544 Kbits, 198 MFlops, $19.50

Release 2Q02
ADSP-21161N, 1 Mbits, 600 , $24.63

Release 3Q02
ADSP-21160N, 4 Mbits, 570, $145.00

Release 4Q02
ADSP-TS101S, 6 Mbits, 1500, $207.00

K/Mbits is onchip SRAM, prices for 1000 qty

dunno if the last beast is compatible but there's a lot in the pipeline

 cheers, Tom
