I'm venturing off to new hieghts! Just got meself my first geeeetar (a Fender Squier Affinity). Okay, it's cheap but I'm just a beginner here! For the longest time, I thought that guitars are the most complex instruments to learn.
I've been writing/composing a theme song for my friends short film feature. I wanted the music to be based around the guitar. My gal pal is an outstanding guitarist and she's helping with the guitar parts. Knowing what I wanted and how the guitar was played, I started tinkering with it, then, BAM!!, I got hit with the distortion bug!
I don't know why or how but there's just that certain feeling that you feel when you play a guitar through a good distortion box! Power? Invincibility? I don't know, but all I know is that I was hooked!
Is there any setting with SFP's distortion mod to emulate a distortion flavour, say, like an MXR Distortion Plus? I just started tinkering with it but couldn't get the same results. If not the stock distortion, can anyone recommend a 3rd party dist mod? That would be totally cool!
Thanks!

Actually a normal tuned guitar (going down to an E at the buttom) don't reproduce sounds below 80Hz. Not musical sounds anyway - I suspect the strumming itself will generate a sound, that will mostly be below 80Hz.

Yeah yeah, you absolutely need the Celmo Guitar Blues Emulator.... There is a free version for download, it is absolutely fantastic, it REALLY can replace a real amp... I tell you, nothings compare...
For 35$ you can get the full blown version that include compressor, limiter and chorus... With a FABOLOUS 'fender twin verb' preset.....
Try this devices, you'll be convinced

All I can say is "DANG!" My hats off to you, Celmo! Your Guitar Amp Modeller is just freakin' amazing! Coming from a keyboard player and a totally guitar newbie, the sounds coming out from the plug-in sound %99.9 verbatim to a regual amp! (IMHO) at least...
Thanks to all of you who recommended this plug-in!
