I didn't find a forum for gear talk. Where we could exchange opinions on different gear. like, external effects, mixers, midi patchbays etc.

Has anyone used Edirol UM-880? Is it worth trying?

I use a UM-880 and I just can't fault it. It's a really nice, no-nonsense patchbay with lots of features. I particularly like the fact that you can control it directly from the front panel instead of having to resort to dinky remote software like some of the other models I've used.

Stability/sync problems are a non-issue and it's very flexible too. You can use it as either a USB MIDI interface, a standalone patchbay, or any combination thereof. I wasn't expecting anywhere near this kind of quality for the price! Two colleagues have already 'converted' to the UM-880 after I showed them mine

That sounds great, thanks.
But I think I'm not able to view the MIDI ports in Pulsar routing window?

That's right, the routing window will only show you the Pulsar's MIDI ports. The patchbay's ports will show up in your sequencer.
